Specialities Logistic Supervisor - CN
No. of Positions:
Formulate Vessel/Road/Barge/Rail transportation/leased 3rd part storage contract strategies that deliver key performance criteria for customer service, cost and HSSE.
Work well with Contracting and Procurement personnel to put in place contracts with vendors that deliver the procurement strategies, ensured End to End Margin are most competitive and benchmarked.
Manage Vessel/Road/Barge/Rail transportation/leased 3rd part storage contracts including performance monitoring against agreed KPIs and renegotiation of critical conditions of contract where appropriate.
Seek opportunities for efficiencies improvement and structural cost reduction and put in place programs with hired contractor to ensure such improvements are delivered.
Coordinate and integrate all Shell Group related policies relevant to China Specialities Logistics, and ensure that these policies are widely distributed, understood and implemented.
Develop China logistics expenditure budgets, monitor and analyze on a monthly basis for inclusion in the China Specialities Business Review.
Work with hired contractors to ensure their compliance with Life Saving Rule, conduct of gap analysis for contractors, put in place mutually agreed action plans with contractors to close gaps and monitor progress toward completion.
Provide support for hired contractors in developing/maintaining their HSSE Management System and HSSE Plans and ensure hired Contractors have actioned proactive initiatives to meet defined targets.
Ensure hired contractors are kept up to date with policy or operational changes determined by Shell.
Work closely with supply planner to manage inventory in Third Party Storage achieve working capital effectiveness.
Lead/participate in network optimization and modeling studies.

Solid experience in logistic management, especially in managing/coordinating with China sea-tanker/barge/road service suppliers
Good understanding of international standard and practice for port/jetty and 3rd party bulk terminal/storage
Result orientated, driven to deliver commercial results with the ability to analyze and evaluate business requirements.
Proven understanding of performance control and management.
Positively embrace challenge, value difference and builds win-win solutions.
Lead significant emergent & programmatic change, experience in multi-cultural organization is preferred.
Experience of project management/implementation.
Strong communication and influencing skill, with excellent cross boundary collaboration behavior, able to influence without direct authority.
As regional Certifying Shore Officer China, conduct Ship/Shore training session and assessment/certification.
