What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) is seeking a highly motivated individual to drive Strategic Services Sales. Verizon Enterprise is a leader in Gartner’s magic quadrant. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to a team comprised of experienced sales, management and industry-leading engineering delivery talent.

Sales Responsibilities

The Strategic Services Lead is responsible for evangelizing the focus on Professional Services within VES and for collaborating to develop PS sales opportunities with our global Enterprise client base. As a Strategic Services Lead you will work with Verizon Enterprise Solutions Sales leaders to:

+ + PS Sales Bookings accountability: for GVP of geo/vertical segments Sales Operations scope and leadership to drive focus from other core and overlay sales leaders and teams

  • Lead strategic account planning effort that result in documented roadmaps to position VES with targeted clients in a way that results in optimal client satisfaction and ongoing revenue stream.

  • Serve in leadership position by collaborating with key internal business partners including Sales, Pro Services, Operations, Marketing, Legal, Branding and others to ensure attainment of PS-centric revenues

  • Guide the RFP/RFI process to better position Verizon

  • Manage the proposal and SOW coordination and support

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in PS, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Legal, etc. in coordination design/architecture discussions internally and with business clients

  • Identify and coordinate Verizon internal resources required to develop custom customer solution

  • PS Sales & Pre-Sales Process Champion: Drive adoption of PS sales and pre-sales process and act as overall escalation point

    • PS Offer alignment and enablement: Orchestrate market need and validate offers currently positioned jointly with Product Leaders and PS Delivery leaders
  • Demonstrate strategic competitive insights and leverage those insights to win additional client business and avoid RFx situations

  • Analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the business/market to capture a greater PS market share

  • Collaborate with PS and cross-functional resources for the delivery of technical sales services to the local and global sales teams. Ensure that all presentations, demonstrations, proposals and pilots are workable and are in-line with Verizon’s messaging and strategic objectives.

  • Demonstrate technical expertise across one or more strategic services towers, including

  • Security

  • Advance Communications

  • UCC

  • CCS

  • IoT

  • Collaborate closely with PS and Sales teams in identifying opportunities, providing technical support at all levels of prospect engagement and ensuring throughout that proposed solutions are workable and in line with Verizon’s strategic objectives.

  • Assist customers in their evaluation of Verizon products and services.

  • Conduct educational sessions with groups within the customers' organization to highlight Verizon PS capabilities

  • Remain up-to-date on competitive solutions, products and services

  • Identify technical (Verizon or customer) barriers to sale and work to alleviate the barrier

  • Develop and maintain strategic client relationships to achieve trusted advisor level status

  • Demonstrate consultative selling skills that result in closer business relationships and set the standard for Sales to generate Strategic Services revenue streams

  • Demonstrate vertical industry knowledge and insights, and extend strategic insights to others on the Strategic Services sales team

  • Clearly articulate Verizon value proposition to all levels within a customer's organization

  • Responsible to be a leader in superior sales execution of PS-related product s service offerings

  • Aid in the establishment of priorities and schedules to meet established sales and revenue goals

  • PS Sales GTM Strategy & Execution: Provide leadership and guidance on what offers and how to position PS for GVP of geo/vertical segments
