Chenega Enterprise Systems and Solutions, LLC (ChESS) is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to support the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Office of Acquisitions and Grants Services (OAGS) within the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) as well as Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER). The Administrative Support Specialist shall provide FDA Centers with Acquisitions and Federal Assistance Support Services for the coordination and management for, but not limited to, selected initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with different programmatic staffers to research, gather, assemble and/or review supporting documentations to support creation of full Acquisition Package (AP) to include, drafting SOW’s, IGCE’s, etc.

  • Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology for acquisitions related documents.

  • Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.

  • Provides input to reports and documents findings, as required, with guidance of the lead analyst, SME’s or COR’s.

  • Assists in the performance of market research and trends, as they apply to the program.

  • Assist with other administrative functions as they relate to acquisitions (examples such as make copies in support of operations, process requisitions, market research of simplified procurement as requested by government staff)

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience direct relatable Federal support role [OR]

  • Associate Degree

  • 24 Business credits

  • Current or held in last 3 years FAC-C or DAWIA certification

  • Knowledge of federal acquisition methods and techniques

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Professional personal computer skills, to include but not limited to, skills in operating Microsoft Office software, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook as well as SharePoint.

  • Skills in managing and prioritizing multiple assignments with strict deadlines and ability to coordinate efforts among many offices.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). Expertise to prepare and present information/data via oral briefing(s) and/or by written reports.

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
