The Senior Electronic Document Technician will be responsible for the management and oversight of the Electronic Document Room (EDR) operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains databases, electronic files, documentation and computer tapes.

  • Performs records management tasks such as reports, correspondence, and/or related material

  • Conducts records research into specified areas, prepares and reports findings.

  • Manages disposition (lifecycle) of records. Files and destroys hard copies of records in accordance with approved procedures.

  • Processes records into an electronic document management system.

  • Handles electronic file conversions and management. Saves files electronically for database access.

  • Supports technical records management assignments.

  • Scans, indexes, and performs quality reviews of records received.

  • Processes records received in the document management system.

  • Ensures standards are met in compliance with statutory and regulatory provisions, policies, instructions and all other applicable requirements.

  • Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.

  • Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

  • Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and coworkers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and human resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions to the best of own ability.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications : (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Management

  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in the Computer Science or Information Management field .

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows-based operating systems is required.

  • Have excellent leadership, supervisory, training, communication, and records management skills.

  • Should be detail‐oriented and have the skills to maintain databases, electronic files, documentation, and computer tapes

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.

  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
