Verizon Technical Services Billing Specialist in Silver Spring, Maryland

What you’ll be doing...

Verizon provides critical telecommunications and network services to U.S. Government customers. The Billing Specialist will analyze the orders for technical services and network equipment and create the invoices and bills to the customers. In this role you will be responsible for accurately entering the billing information and validating the accuracy of the invoices. You will actively support bill production issues for the Prime Biller Extended Edition (PBEE) billing system for Federal Government local service contracts including WITS 3. You will review order and billing reports for accuracy and work quickly to resolve any discrepancies. As part of a fast-paced, results-oriented team, you will also be collaborating with other functional teams.

In addition you will:

  • Support the billing service representatives in addressing billing concerns.

  • As new Federal customers are added, you will provide support for billing implementation and configuration.

  • Actively support loading contractual product/service pricing data for Federal Systems contracts, using a central repository - Financial Analysis and Proposal (FAP) application. Each product/service is represented by a Contract Line Item Number (CLIN). Once CLIN(s) has been approved the CLIN Administrator will advance forward to loading in ordering, procurement and billing systems.

  • Leverage your experience in the PBEE system, Federal contract ordering and billing, and contractual product code functions.

  • Ensuring SLA compliance as required by contract and providing reporting as required by the customer.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Three or more years of experience in complex technical services billing.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree

  • Three or more years of experience in federal and local government billing.

  • Excellent client and organizational, communication process skills.

  • Knowledge of the processes and procedures for the WITS 3 contract.

  • Experience managing multiple high priority tasks.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and written skills.

  • Knowledge on MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Access Database)
