IT Principal Consultant - Oracle Managed Cloud
Oracle Premium Cloud Operations (PCO) provides end-to-end
Oracle Fusion Applications SaaS management solutions to our customers utilizing
ITIL based processes. This team is responsible for providing managed services
for Fusion Applications provisioning, implementation support, production
operations support, migrations and upgrades, change management, release
management, cloning and automation solutions for selected, Premium customers.
The PCO Team’s newest offering is “Fusion
Applications SaaS@Customer.” A customer
of this offering will obtain “Oracle Cloud@Customer” hardware installed in
their datacenter, Fusion SaaS applications software and database to run on that
hardware, and all hardware/software support services provided under subscription model.
PCO (Oracle Premium Cloud
Operations) team seeks a self motivated individual contributor and
dynamic team player capable of working with globalized Fusion Applications
Premium Cloud Operations team.
member of PCO Organization, your focus is to deliver support and solutions to
the Oracle customer while serving as an advocate for customer needs. You will
offer strategic technical support to assure the highest level of customer
satisfaction. A primary focus is to create/utilize automated technology and
instrumentation to diagnose, document, and resolve or avoid customer issues. Engage
in end to end operations activities that cover install, patch, upgrade, maintain,
diagnose, document and troubleshoot. You are expected to be an expert member of
the technical problem solving/problem avoidance team, routinely sought after to
address extremely complex, critical customer issues. Frequent on-site visits
may be required during critical delivery milestones. Work is non-routine and
very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills
in area of specialization.
Requirements and Qualifications :
- BS degree in Computer Science/MIS/Engineering or
a related field, with a 3.0GPA or higher
- 8 years experience with core Oracle products or
7 years experience with Oracle Applications products. Proven professional
experience demonstrating an understanding of Applications at a functional and
technical level (preferably Oracle).
- You must have two of the top 4 skills listed
Experience with administration and configuration
of Oracle Fusion MW, Weblogic, SOA suite, Portal and Identity management Suite
Experience with administration of one of the
application management suite such as Fusion Applications / E-business suite
Experience managing Oracle databases including
installation, upgrade, patching, cloning, backup and recovery.
Troubleshooting skills for critical database,
application, networking and system administration issues
Experience with Performance Tuning and
techniques ( SGA tuning, DB Tuning, Apps tuning ,use of tkprof ,AWR etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
Collaborative team play
Candidate must be willing to work in shifts
and/or On-Call Basis.
- Candidate is required to work from Oracle Office/
Working from customer on-site location while on
Working from an Oracle office while not on
specific customer assignment.
Providing on-site weekend coverage
Experience with Oracle Transparent Data Encryption, Database
Vault, or Golden Gate would be a plus.

Travel to customer sites around critical
Manage day to day Cloud Operations activities
for the assigned customer and make sure they are inline with customer's
Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by customer with
help from Oracle Product support teams to maintain SLAs.
Help customer in Go live activities as an
operations point of contact.
Analyze Environment performance in context with
customer plan and suggest corrective action by working with internal Oracle
Facilitating customer in their performance
Take up technical projects to improve overall
quality of service for customers.

Work with Oracle
s world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle
s global infrastructure.
As a member of the IT organization, assist with the analyze of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems. Prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
