Job Description

The successful incumbent is expected to provide hands-on maintenance, and manage contractors’ staff to provide a safe, cost-effective and efficient day-to-day maintenance services on basic Quality Measurements Instrumentation (QMI).

Assist the Maintenance Engineer Team Lead (QMI) in his responsibilities when required.

Adhere to Company In-house technical and safety procedures in handling various hydrocarbons & petrochemicals being analysed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provides day-to-day hands on maintenance and/or troubleshooting for all QMI engineering related matters, to ensure the QMI validity and availability;

  • Participate in Global Asset Management Excellence(GAME) assessment and determine QMI equipment maintenance task and schedule;

  • Prepares job specifications and costing for works involved and apply work clearance / permit for work execution;

  • Plan, organize and execute plant Turnaround/Construction work (QMI) to achieve Turnaround (TA) targets on HSSE, schedule, duration and cost.

  • Familiar with HSE and Permit to Work requirements in petroleum and petrochemical industry;

  • Assist team lead to execute plant changes and minor QMI related projects;

  • Provide good documentation practice to ensure all equipment technical records and drawings are updated to reflect the latest changes;

  • Maintain work requests and records on maintenance works using computerized maintenance management systems, Global SAP system - Preventive Maintenance (GSAP-PM);

  • Uses online tools, such as, QMI Performance System (QMIPS) for analyzer performance tracking Availability, Reproducibility KPI;

  • Track, manage and resolve QMI Bad Actors;

  • Participate in Standby duties upon completion of training/attachment to various Production Units.

  • Perform/carry out other related duties as required.


  • Fresh ITE / Diploma Grads are encouraged to apply

  • Male applicants must have completed National Service

  • On the Job Training will be provided

  • Possess 2 years of relevant experience as Quality Measurements Instrumentation (QMI) or equivalent

  • Possess skill to carry out maintenance on simple QMIs and associated sampling systems

  • Past involvement in commissioning and start-up in QMI and Gas Detection system will have an added advantage
