Marsh & McLennan Project Specialist - Process Efficiencies (yearly renewable contract) in Singapore, Singapore

The purpose of this position is to drive projects within Operations & Technology function for Employee Benefits business area. You would be part of a dynamic team to drive and manage projects to improve our product offerings. This would be a regional project team where you would gain both regional and global exposure.

You would be expected to :

Establishes the execution plan for a small project or for a single work stream of a project

Conducts analyses of business processes to identify process improvement opportunities; executes value streams and process maps to identify current state; conducts root cause analysis; implements voice of the customer/colleagues

Interprets results of analyses and generates basic recommendations regarding process improvements, with guidance from experienced colleagues

Meets with experienced colleagues to learn how to use the appropriate tools for a project to provide support

Learns to interpret the results of analyses to generate basic recommendations regarding process improvements

Monitors progress during projects and continually updates project plans as needed; evaluates whether material variance from original plan is needed due to changes in project scope, requirements, or resource constraints

Collaborates with colleagues to ensure the right tools are being used for the project; supports the implementation of the tools needed QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should enjoy a fast pace, high volume project environment. Multi-tasking would be a core skill.

You should also have :

Minimum of Bachelors Degree, ideally in computer science or related field. Minimum 8-10 years experience in project management experience required. Knowledge / Experience with banking or insurance sector is preferred Solid experience in project management and qualification is a plus. Prefer Six Sigma/Lean Black or Yellow Belt certification Must be self-motivated, able to work independently with little guidance and able to lead and motivate a team. Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities Good working knowledge of project life cycle methodology and Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio Ability to accurately assess project risks and raise risks and issues to senior team members as appropriate. Experience in project initiation and requirements phases of large technology or business change planning, execution, and benefits realization Exposure to business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations Ability to conduct research into emerging business process management practices and trends, standards, and products as required Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Occasional travel might be required.
