Position Description

We currently have an immediate career opportunity for a Supervisor, Logistics-Cannabis based from the customer location at Canopy Growth in Smith’s Falls, ON. The Supervisor, Logistics will be responsible for the supervision of the day-to-day operations and will have a significant impact on the national cannabis transportation business. The successful incumbent will be an escalation contact and will lead the work with the Canopy RPIC, who are responsible for reviewing trailer sanitation for compliance with Health Canada regulations.

You will have the opportunity to:

 Oversee the on-site customer to address escalated issues and ensure continuous improvement

 Ensure the Logistics Coordinators are meeting Health Canada Standards for the transportation of medicinal and recreational cannabis products

 Supervise the lead times to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensure days are planned in accordance with the attainment of established SLAs

 Audit dual custody with the Logistics Coordinators

 Certify seamless transition of pick-ups and deliveries with ground crews

 Maintain daily contact with Global Services upon departure of product and oversee unified tracking spreadsheets

 Perform record keeping and reporting of the Truck & Trailers sanitization or rotations

 Escalate issues when required

 Certify that Health & Safety and Firearm requirements are met and all applicable to the standard operating procedure

 Promote safety awareness to the employees on an on-going basis

 Make recommendations for disciplinary action

 Liaise with branches across Canada to ensure that all shipments and their applicable documents are received or provided as required

 Liaise with the customer to understand the service requirements and to meet expectations

 Schedule and Track & Trace movements with 3PL partners

 Track & Record logistic transfers on a Shared document

 Retrieve manifests or documents from Branches to complete work for transfers

 Daily/Weekly reporting of operational status

 Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

 Action oriented, able to maintain composure under pressure

 Minimum high school education or related experience, preferably in a logistics setting

 Excellent organizational and communication skills

 Sound working knowledge of PC applications/ ability to learn new database systems

 Able to manage conflicts, and make accurate & logical decisions

 Able to set targets, establish priorities and meet goals

 Has the effective ability to train staff

 Able to lift or handle at least 50 lbs

 Can work effectively alone or in team scenarios

 Must be able to work flexible hours as required

 Previous warehouse experience, preferably in a distribution facility

 Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment

 Bilingualism (English/French) will be considered an asset
