Your Role and Responsibilities

IBM’ Watson Health Government Health and Human Services, is looking for talented individuals destined to usher in the next era of healthcare.

We are now looking for a Healthcare Data Analytic Consultant to join our Atlanta, GA – Smyrna office team!

*Must be able to work in the Smyrna Office weekly.

As a Healthcare Data Analytic Consultant, you will provide interactive customer service and technical product support for a Medicaid client to produce quality data reports that will help business leaders in their decision making. You will collaborate with IBM Watson analytics national network of consultants to generate best of breed reporting designs for the client while also providing training and analytic expertise for the client. You will also work with subject matter experts to learn cutting edge techniques and products to support the client for questions related to Medicaid and other healthcare specifications.

Overview of responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and work closely with clients and project team to deliver results

  • Define and document Client’s reporting needs – categorize the standard versus ad hoc reports

  • Support users/client and staff with proprietary software

  • Establish business relationships and work closely with clients and project team to deliver results

  • Provide on-site customer support and training to client end users.Conduct data analysis and database management to support analytic requirements

  • Report support – assist with requests for ad hoc reports, dashboard, custom healthcare analysis, miscellaneous research, etc

  • Contribute and assist in managing quality data, quality assessments and advise on analytic methods

  • Complete project assignments on time and manage multiple deliverables to client

Successful candidates will possess the following key attributes:

  • Knowledge/ understanding in healthcare industry, such as clinical administration claims data etc

  • Problem solver, with demonstrated record of effective communications both verbal and written to work in multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive service-oriented relationships with customer, partners and team to promote IBM’s technical credibility as a trusted partner

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 4 years of healthcare industry work experience as relatable to role

  • Demonstrated ability and experience of Analytic methodology

  • Technology/tool experience in Cognos or SAS, or related

  • Proven track record of task management skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in quantitative field such as, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics, or related

  • Medicaid OR Healthcare claims transaction work experience.
