Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Deputy Camp Civil Engineer Support Manager/Mentor for an anticipated position supporting a logistical effort in the country of Africa. The appropriately qualified candidate should be able to perform the following job duties:

  • The DCEF Support Manager/Mentors shall assist the Camp CE Support Manager/Mentor with managing the day-to-day camp civil engineering and facilities maintenance. Along with mentoring the selected eight Danab vehicle maintenance personnel in order to develop their capabilities to assume responsibility for the day-to day CE support to include, maintaining, managing, accounting, inventorying all equipment, supplies and associated CE and infrastructure of the 600 Danab camp vehicles.

  • The DCEF Support Manager/Mentor shall be capable of and responsible for maintaining all CE and infrastructure in the Danab camps.

  • The DCEF Support Manager/Mentor is responsible for all of the maintenance requirements of the 600 Danab man camp vehicles and shall assist the Camp CE Support Manager/Mentor in the establishment of all camp CE maintenance policies and procedures for the all of CE and facilities in the Danab camps.

  • The Deputy Camp CE and Support Manager/Mentor is responsible for ordering and maintaining stocks of expendable CE and camp infrastructure equipment and facility spare parts in order to keep the Danab camps operational.

  • The DCEF Support Manager/Mentor shall assist the Camp CE Manager/Mentor in mentoring the eight selected Danab vehicles maintenance personnel to be capable of ordering and maintaining stocks of expendable equipment, facility and vehicle spare parts in order to keep the Danab camps and vehicles operational.

  • The DCEF Manager/Mentor shall support the Camp and Support Manager/Mentor in establishing, managing and operating the 600 man camp motor pool. Additionally, the DCEF shall assist in mentoring minimum of eight Danab personnel in order to enable them to become capable of managing and operating the 600 man camp motor pool to include daily inspection / routine (preventive maintenance) / unscheduled maintenance of Danab vehicles and equipment.

  • The DCEF shall assist in the development and implementation of the Danab camps motor pool operations and maintenance, and fuel management plans, policies and procedures.

  • The Camp CE Support Manager/Mentor or the Deputy Camp Manager/Mentor will be on call after duty hours to assist with camp equipment/facility emergency.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and be capable and willing to submit and pass random fitness for duty screening particularly for drugs and alcohol.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Civilian and/or former Military with two to three years of engineering camp maintenance experience; practical maintenance expertise; and ammunition management experience is required.

  • Ideal Candidate shall have at least one-year experience developing the capabilities to oversee, manage and direct planning of international military base infrastructure programs.

  • Additionally, ideal candidate will have a minimum of one years’ experience living and working in developing countries.
