Internal Application Specialist (Supply Chain, Global Professional Services)
Direct Responsibility: This role will be critical to the Global Professional Services Teams ability to manage our control material for our Analytical Validation consulting services. In this position, you will order a variety of control materials, test on qPCR, CE, and/or NGS technology, and assess performance. You will work closely with R&D and will be integral to a growing part of our Professional Services business.
Work closely with your manager to prioritize projects.
Manage the control and sample material housed in South San Francisco.
Ship control material to customer sites.
Collaborate closely with our internal R&D teams and Technical Project Managers.
Help with the development of new validation products.
Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent in work experience.
2-4 years laboratory bench-work experience.
In-depth knowledge real-time PCR and molecular lab workflows.
Strong abilities in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Experience with method validation on molecular biology platforms.
Experience with molecular testing and LDT laboratory design and workflow.
Working experience in qPCR, CE and NGS platforms, preferably on Thermo Fisher instrumentation.
