Job Requirements::

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or trade school equivalent work experience related to facilities and/or maintenance.

  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in a maintenance position.

  • Availability for occasional overtime is required.

  • 24 hour on call availability as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with computers and computer software.

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook experience.

  • Ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively with all levels of employees, contractors, and vendors.

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.

  • Ability to work additional hours as warranted by projects.

  • Must be a strong problem solver.

  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision..

The Maintenance Mechanic maintain and repair the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. The incumbent perform skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures as directed by the facilities manager. He/She works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. The incumbent makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary and reports such work to the facilities manager for approval. He/She works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.

Job Duties::

In a typical day, you will:

  • Perform minor repairs to plumbing fixtures, valves, and other devices.

  • Perform basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required.

  • Perform minor painting and drywall repairs.

  • Monitor contractor performance and works closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.

  • Ability to pull work from a work order system which includes the creation of work orders.

  • Perform basic maintenance with standard manufacturing equipment.

  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

  • Perform basic HVAC repairs and troubleshooting on various roof top units and exhaust fans.

  • Participates in the Corporate Continuous Improvement Program.

  • Act as the liaison to Olympus internal customers and all third party vendors.
