IBM Royalty Management Systems Business Analyst (Financial Systems) in SOUTHBURY, Connecticut
IBM is seeking an enthusiastic Business/ Systems Analyst to join a DevOps squad in the Finance Systems Organization which manages IBM's Royalty Management Applications. Responsibilities include analyzing business needs, working with IT professionals to translate business requirements into IT solutions, and testing to validate the quality of these solutions. In addition you will work with other analysts, and assist in other areas such as coordination of dependencies, management of test schedules, and ensuring quality standards and controls compliance.
The team is located in Southbury CT

What you’ll do:
Provide expertise in analysis, requirements gathering, design, coordination, testing and support technical solutions for the IBM Financial System organization
Collaborate with financial reporting and IT teams to develop initiatives and strategies that optimize costs and improve internal and external reporting
Develop methodology documents based on self initiated interviews, diagrams, surveys and workflow analysis
Develop and maintain a strong working relationships with business and technical members of the team
Actively participate in the Agile and Design Thinking processes
Create detailed plans for execution and implementation of new processes and be a visionary for the creation of new IT Systems to support the new business processes
Relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement
Perform root cause analysis of process issues
Collaborate with financial reporting and IT teams to develop initiatives and strategies that optimize costs and improve internal and external reporting.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years Business/Systems Analyst Experience
Demonstrated aptitude for analytics
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Data Analytics including knowledge of SQL, Cognos , R or SPSS
Knowledge of Financial Systems
Business Process Modelling
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
