What You’ll Get to Do:
As the Site Infrastructure Maintainer you are responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications. You will analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity. Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. Supports new infrastructure projects. Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
More About this Role:
The site maintainers will be responsible for system uptime to support mission of a 24/7 operations center. Systems include an onsite data center as well as remote equipment operations.
Ssupport Tier 1 and Tier 2 functions, providing customer service interface for operations personnel; ticket creation, ticket routing, reporting and resolution.
Tier 1 includes basics fixes such as password resets, profile updates, provisioning support and TIER 2 escalation
TIER 2 activities include routine preventative maintenance. Key activities are standard incident diagnosis, basic fixes based on troubleshooting guides, LRU replacements, and some application and database system administration.
Site Maintainers will assist with the integration of new capabilities or enhancements into existing capabilities
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Education: BS/BA or equivalent
Experience: 3 years of related work experience
Required Skills: Linux, HP,CISCO, Netapp, IBM and other standard data center equipment maintenance. Understanding of Ticket creation and diagnosis of issues. Communication skills to jointly work system issues with developers and vendors.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Direct maintenance background in specific systems
• IC and/or DOD user experience
• Technical understanding of RF collection and processing
