Position: Vendor Marketing Manager

Job Description:

The company’s Marketing Department has a Marketing Manager role vacancy. This role is responsible for ensuring all our vendor and corporate campaigns are executed successfully, on-brand and in line with the objectives of the campaign.

We are looking for someone whose attention to detail is out of this world; can juggle competing priorities; is enthusiastic, creative and passionate about B2B marketing (both products and services); is strategic whilst also creative; has a great work ethic; is agile and can deliver in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Strategy and campaign briefing

  • Support the Vendor Alliance team (made up of 12 Vendor Managers) with developing activity plans that deliver on their vendor strategy

  • Work with each individual Vendor Manager to understand their vendor’s strategy and develop an activity plan to deliver on the goals of that strategy.

  • Prepare a campaign plan based on the menu of activities available. If new activities are required work with the Marketing Director to determine what they should be.

  • Receive requests and briefs from the Vendor Alliance team and turn them into detailed digital briefs and execution plans using briefing templates and in line with the briefing process and timeline

  • Brief both our internal digital/content team and also external agencies and manage timeframes, schedules, budgets and expectations

  • Communicate with all key stakeholders – internal and external

  • Prepare proposals (including budgeting) for the Vendor Alliance team to present back to the vendor to secure funding

Event and training management

  • Source, book and liaise with venues for events and training

  • Manage registration lists and communicate these lists with relevant stakeholders

  • Name tag production

  • Attendee sign off list management

  • Coordinate and manage banners and merchandise for events and training

  • Book and coordinate catering

  • Create, distribute, collect and follow up feedback forms from events and training

  • Work with the warehouse team to manage deliveries and pick-ups for events

  • Other incidentals relating to the event/training session

Demand generation

  • Coordinate and manage end user demand generation campaigns (usually through partner only ie to the partner's customer base)

Manage the partners throughout the campaign – this is very high touch and requires management of the vendor, partner and the supplier

  • Work with the Vendor Alliance and sales teams to define a follow up strategy for the leads

Promotions and incentives

  • Coordinate and manage promotions and incentives such as reward cards, vouchers etc

  • Develop campaigns around offers such as extended terms

  • Develop activity plans to achieve vendor rebates

  • Develop campaigns for cross-sell, reference architectures and alliance technologies

Email marketing

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns

  • Set up and manage email marketing automation programs

  • Set up and manage multi-channel lead nurture campaigns

  • Work with the Vendor Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to ensure data and marketing lists are kept up to date

  • Run analytics on email campaigns and make recommendations for change to strategy or execution using this data

  • Manage stock images

  • Edit images in Photoshop as required for use in email marketing campaigns

  • Provide back up support to the Digital Marketing Coordinator (who executes email campaigns) where required – for example, work on campaigns in Pardot if lead/delivery times are delayed

Digital/social execution

  • Set up and manage digital and/or social media execution including but not limited to: LinkedIn sponsored posts, Facebook sponsored posts, displays ads, paid editorial, retargeting, AdWords campaigns etc.

  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Manager on these campaigns


  • Set up campaigns in Salesforce

  • Run campaign reports from Salesforce

  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and IT team to ensure we’re gaining efficiency from the available Salesforce functionality


  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager on all digital requirements for the vendor marketing team.

  • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager and the Marketing Director on ensuring workflows and processes are working well both inside the team, with other teams and with other external stakeholders

  • Arrow and vendor merchandise management

  • Arrow and vendor banner management

  • Manage logos in the pricing portal – set them up, update them when they change, delete them when required

  • Create Salesforce campaigns for each activity

  • Conform to all marketing guidelines of all vendors as well as Arrow ECS ANZ

  • Additional duties as requested by the Marketing Director from time to time.

  • Photoshop and marketing automation platform skills are not essential but would be helpful
