Marsh & McLennan Investment Operations Analyst in St. Louis, Missouri

The primary duty of the Sr Client Support Analyst is to assist clients and consultants with the implementation and maintenance of client investment accounts. Responsibilities include maintaining investment policies, liaising with clients regarding investment activities and managing client cash flow activities, including executing trades.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the management and maintenance of investment policies for current clients by rebalancing client portfolios directly or by teaching clients about the rebalancing process so they can manage it independently.

Serve as liaison between clients and custodians to help anticipate and analyze ongoing cash needs for monthly, quarterly or annual draws for endowments

Communicate with investment managers and custodians to facilitate client investment activities

Monitor clients for cash flow needs and provide back office operational support including:

Monitoring accounts for daily inflows and outflows

Executing trades or directing the implementation of trades

Coordinating and reviewing accounts for cash requirements for payment of capital calls

Provide documentation and/or requests from auditors for clients’ fiscal year end audit requirements

Complete and review alternative asset documents – including collective trust funds, hedge funds, private equity and REITS

Prepare and/or review documents with clients for completeness and accuracy

Facilitate and monitor outgoing wires for accuracy and timeliness as dictated by approved investment policy and rebalancing procedures

Establish and monitor new accounts when needed by custodians

Field questions regarding custodians and processes

Transition of new clients

Direct / assist in the transition of new clients into approved allocation

Establish relationships with custodians, managers and clients to ensure a smooth transition to a new approved allocation

Create cash flow timelines that span the time of 1-3 months making certain asset allocations are maintained throughout the transition

Analyze current managers and coordinate exit strategies to minimize cash exposure when required

Conduct special projects clients or consultants as needed QualificationsEducation

BSBA (or 15+ years relative experience) Experience

7+ years of investment experience preferred Experience in the operation capacities of custodians, such as banks, trust companies and brokerage firms Experience with foundations and endowments is a plus Experience with alternative investment is a plus Prior experience with cost basis accounting is a plus Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

Strong quantitative skills Familiarity with alternative investment documents such as PPM’s, LPA’s and subscription documents Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Ability to multi-task Must be Customer Service Oriented Other requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training)

Experience with Excel and Word required Proficient in Investorforce and/or Advent Partner a plus
