The Data Platform Services practice area is seeking to hire a Master Data Management (MDM) Functional Product Specialist. The MDM Functional Product Specialist is responsible for understanding Master Data Functions, Client Business Capabilities, and how core MDM Product can realize these capabilities through technical MDM platform implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent MDM product capabilities to business and technical stakeholders from detailed business capabilities and functions

  • Collaborate with the Source Data SME's, and Data Mapping teams to complete MDM data gap analysis process

  • Facilitate MDM mapping workshops to confirm MDM Data Mapping requirements

  • Leverage understanding of MDM product functions that best facilitate business functionality to define required MDM services and functions

  • Define data attributes within the MDM Data Model to utilized for Client Data Mapping and documentation as part of the Data Mapping spreadsheet

  • Create MDM Data and Service Mapping

  • Provide MDM expertise and best practices to project teams

  • Collaborate with data analysts and data modelers to develop MDM data definition

  • Assist with functional testing, and validation

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 2 years experience with hands-on implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions

  • At least 2 years of experience with hands-on usage of data model and service transaction suites in MDM software suites (IBM InfoSphere MDM Server, Informatica MDM, Orchestra Network's EBX)

  • At least 2 years of experience with defining and tuning matching algorithm definition and implementation process

  • At least 2 years experience with large and complex data management projects

  • At least 2 years experience delivering IT Services and/or Consulting projects within a consulting organization

  • Strong consulting skills paired with technical 'know how" to convey the value of MDM solution to the client (pros / cons, challenges, requirements, etc)

  • Experience with data structure classifications, data stewardship, data governance, workflow and processes

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience with MDM Business Services / Transactions products (i.e. InfoSphere MDM / MDM Orchestra / MDM Informatica Server Data Model, Services Transaction Suite)and overall functionality of the MDM applications

  • At least 5 years experience with hands-on implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) solutions

  • At least 5 years of experience with hands-on usage of data model and service transaction suites in MDM software suites (IBM InfoSphere MDM Server, Informatica MDM, Orchestra Network's EBX)

  • At least 5 years of experience with defining and tuning matching algorithm definition and implementation process

  • At least 5 years experience with large and complex data management projects
