Investment Consultant: 60-70% of total capacity will be spent on managing and delivering a personal client portfolio where you will be responsible for your own revenue goals.
Provide investment advice to primarily healthcare institutions on the determination of investment objectives, establishment of investment policy, selection of investment managers and the monitoring of investments. Design, author, or create written and oral presentations that support recommendations appropriate for healthcare organizations. Manage all aspects of assigned client relationships including: creating and monitoring timelines and budgets associated with client accounts; scheduling and leading meetings; providing direction, delegation and management to Analysts assigned to assist with client account; and maintain oversight for all information that is disseminated to client. Segment Leader: This role will be in addition to the individual's investment consulting role and the time commitment is expected to range from 30%- 40% of total capacity.
Revenue Objectives: Drive new business activity by working with the Sales Directors, field consultants, and leadership to obtain meetings, promote solutions, and develop relationships. Work closely with Healthcare consulting and Strategic Research Team (SRT) team to develop solutions or tools that will help clients increase the probability of meeting their objectives. Support prospecting, RFP and finals activity as the healthcare specialist. Work in conjunction with the SRT to develop and maintain language for RFP responses. Work with the NFP Sales Strategist to create and maintain marketing materials
Brand Awareness: Work with Mercer's sales, marketing and public relations resources to raise Mercer's profile within the NFP healthcare market, including but not limited to interacting with the press, prioritizing and arranging for Mercer to speak at relevant industry conferences, leveraging the publication of whitepapers to conduct seminars, symposiums and other marketing events related to topics of interest to healthcare institutions. Drive awareness of our Investments capabilities internally with Client Managers, Relationship Managers, Office Leaders and Growth Teams, as appropriate.
Pricing: Develop and maintain relevant pricing metrics, working closely with the Pricing Committee and healthcare consultants on the scope, timing, fees and teams for all NFP healthcare opportunities. QualificationsRequirements:
BA/BS degree required; advanced degree/credentials (CFA or CAIA) preferred. Must have or obtain the Series 3 designation. Must have 10+ years’ experience working with healthcare institutions in some capacity. Proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads and meet time sensitive deadlines required. Must be results-oriented with the ability to change priorities as needed. Must have above average verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels of responsibility, along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy. Travel of roughly 40-50% is expected in the role, including (but not limited to) travel to periodically, build relationships with Mercer field consultants and business leaders, support existing healthcare clients, support new sales opportunities, and participate in potential speaking engagements.
