How will you make an impact?

Responsible for supervising a team of Material Handlers who perform as a site expert for all material and equipment receipt and movements to support site operations. Receive and process raw materials for proper storage. Operate company vehicles and material handling equipment. Support packing of product shipments. Identify and pull correct materials to support Production needs. Manage warehouse space to utilize space efficiently. Insure safety compliance is met, as well as, protecting the integrity of the material and equipment. Support work orders and preventative maintenance, serving as the point of contact with Facilities and outside contractors. Work with limited direct supervision on daily tasks. Provide guidance and training to lower level teammates.

What will you do?

  • Direct supervision and management for day-to-day operations of staff, prioritizing assignments, developing staff.

  • Documentation, including but not limited to SOPs; create, review, revise and or develop procedures.

  • Perform all SAP transactions required in the receipt, transfer and movement of warehouse managed material.

  • Perform SAP transactions to support non-inventoried receipts.

  • Perform investigations on receipt variances.

  • Maintain cGMP compliance, at times to, include labeling, FEFO, documentation, cleaning, etc.

  • Become and maintain cross-trained alternately between Staging and Warehouse disciplines.

  • Manage packing of product, support and non-routine shipments. Includes scheduling with internal customers, freight forwarders, creating purchase requisitions for freight charges and preparing required documentation.

  • Work within the time restrictions for temperature, as well as, insuring all hazardous shipping regulations are followed.

  • Provide support tracking shipments and resolving issues.

  • Coordinate the transfer and release tagging of finished product with QA and Manufacturing.

  • Perform SAP transactions as required.

  • Complete all internal documentation.

  • Perform cycle counts and lead investigations for inventory variances as directed.

  • Serve as back up for the entire cycle count process, to include posting counts, confirming tolerance ranges and recording variances.

  • Run basic SAP reports including but not limited to; expiry.

  • Keep current on all required training, provide training to lower level teammates.

  • Support the department by serving on Internal Teams as required. i.e. Safety Committee

How will you get here?

Education

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Some College preferred

  • Class E Chauffeurs License (helpful)

  • Certification in IATA and 49CFR Parts 106-180 Material Handling

Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Forklift experience

  • Strong understanding of cGMP requirements as they relate to material storage and handling

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong Leadership skills are a must

  • Ability to prioritize, strong customer service, good communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management, FEFO and stock rotation, able to request materials in the correct amounts in a timely manner.

  • Understanding of applicable SOPs.

  • Basic knowledge of inventory systems.

  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office and a solid understanding of SAP and the WM / Inventory module within an ERP system

  • Ability to perform transactions without error as well as pack and ship materials without incident..

Physical Requirements :

  • Position requires mobility between buildings, including exposure to inclement weather

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

  • Equipment/machinery/tools used may include forklifts, pallet jack, drum dolly, barrel hoist, strapping machine and company vehicles
