PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Assist in daily activities and requirements of CP Operations.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Type Investigation notices and maintain all files;

  • Assistant to Manager Support Services and Superintendent

  • Type and post all Operational Notices

  • Order Supplies for Departments and maintaining expense efficiency on behalf of CP by adjusting spending of supplies/vendors adhering to Policies and Procedures;

  • Ensure adequate inventories throughout facility to expedite daily operations in multiple departments and facilities;

  • Maintain daily internal and external correspondence through various business information reports, scheduling, and transcription of formal hearings following strict time schedules;

  • Submit invoices;

  • Enter Discipline records into SAP;

  • Plans and prepare for any meetings, gatherings, etc;

  • Assist with any needs/requirements from Facilities;

  • Back up vacation vacancies for Bensenville and Milwaukee;

  • Assist with upkeep of vehicles;

  • Posting of bulletins and awards, Seniority Rosters in accordance with collective bargaining agreement for Mechanical;

  • Maintain the utmost discretion, confidentiality, safety and courtesy;

  • All other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Knowledge of office equipment

  • Knowledge of CP computer systems (notes, MS office, SAP, Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Required to type at least 45 WPM
