Manager, Learning and Development- Tax Talent Development

Work you ll do

The open role supports operations and strategy for the Tax Talent Development team. The role will have responsibility for a number of projects that fall under this area. The following are representative projects that the open role will have responsibility for, but there may be additional operational and strategic projects.

Strategic Initiative Project Management (PMO), Change and Communications

Provide central project management (PMO) and communications support for Tax Talent Development Strategic Initiatives. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Developing, managing, and updating project and communication central plans, creating high-quality presentations and plans related to project timeline

  • Supporting the development of change plans (including stakeholder mapping, communication plans, etc.) for various Strategic Initiatives

  • Preparing various executive status reports

  • Gathering information from various Strategic Initiative leaders, escalating risks and competing priorities; communicating risks to appropriate stakeholders

  • Creating and refining high-quality presentation decks, emails, and other communication materials in preparation for meetings, distribution to the practice, etc. ; may also review the communications collateral of others

  • Managing change by planning for and then partnering with leadership to disseminate information

  • Coordinating regular PMO meetings with Strategic Initiative leaders

Hub Office Channel

Centrally oversee the Hub Office channel (national programming delivered in select local office locations in the US with the potential to add locations outside the US). Day-to-day responsibilities focused on complex macro project management of workstreams (including scheduling, budgeting, communications, analysis and reporting, etc.), working with local and internal teams. Strategically recommend and manage resources, scope, and budgets to ensure the effective delivery of Hub Office curriculum, programs, and processes. Partner with local and internal teams to oversee at a macro level the Hub Office delivery channel so that Tax Talent Development can execute a hub office-delivered curriculum aligned with the business strategy and designed to achieve desired business outcomes.

Faculty Process

Centrally oversee the Faculty process, monitor the process during its cycle, identify and implement process/technology redesign or improvements as needed. Scope of the Faculty Process includes providing guidance and direction to TTD teams through the faculty cycle from planning to closedown, ensuring the teams establish faculty needs for planned programs and then set up needs in the Faculty Management Dashboard (FMD), providing process guidance to teams as faculty openings are filled, providing reporting as needed.

Nominations Process

Centrally oversee the Nominations process, working closely with CTS Delivery resources. Monitor the process during its cycle, identify and implement process/technology redesign or improvements as needed. Scope of the Nominations Process includes providing guidance and direction to TTD teams through the nominations cycle.

Other Projects

Provide strategic project management to other operational special projects as assigned by the Development Leader.
