This director position is responsible for managing business operations and resources of a given practice that can be defined by industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.
Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining strategic direction, ensuring profitable growth of the practice, quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve business objectives. Accountable for managing and growing a significant revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages multiple first line managers and/or senior level individual contributors. Resolves staffing issue in complex engagements. May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements.
10 years of experience relevant to this position including 5 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Direct line Management experience including project, people, customer, financial management preferred. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to develop and maintain relationships at the executive level. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.

Oracle Cloud Consulting Practice Director - Cloud Program / Project Management - Consulting Practice Director
The Oracle Cloud Consulting Practice Director will play a pivotal role in Oracle Consulting s transformation, being the ambassador to the top Oracle Consulting Services (OCS) accounts, as well as representing our North America Technology Cloud Consulting organization.
The Oracle Cloud Consulting Practice Director will be one of the roles in Oracle responsible for evangelizing and delivering Cloud Migrations projects for Oracle's North American-Technology and Government Consulting Services.
This is a leadership role within the OCS organization responsible for delivering Oracle Cloud Migrations projects on time and on budget. This role will substantially focus on Oracle Cloud implementation work.
We are searching for an experienced consulting project / program implementation technology professional who has a broad understanding of Oracle technology stack, Cloud technology (Oracle, Azure, Google, AWS), implementation methodologies, project estimating, client communications, and project and proposal leadership.
This Oracle Consulting Manager / Program / Project Manager is responsible for project management of Oracle Cloud and on-prem implementation projects. The successful candidate will provide direct management and oversight to projects within the Oracle Cloud and Oracle technology on-prem portfolio and will focus on ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the client project strategy as defined by the Oracle s North American-Technology and Government Consulting Services.
Project initiation activities, including Sales to Implementation Services transition
Support for Project Estimating and Proposal/RFP response support
Scope and Change Request Management
Client and stakeholder communication
Project Status Reporting, external and internal
Budget management and revenue forecasting management, per Project
Internal communication and coordination
Delivering both Cloud and / or on-Prem projects on time and on budget
This role will, depending on the client and the engagement, involve substantial travel, up to 50%. It is anticipated that responsibilities may include managing multiple implementation projects simultaneously. Travel requirements are likely to vary for individual projects.
This is a senior level, leadership role and requires a seasoned professional with varied career experiences including a combination of at least 10-15 years of Oracle Technical Consulting, Services, Delivery and Program / Project Management experience. Project Management Certification (PMI, George Washington University or other Project Management Certification programs) preferred. The successful candidate will have previous Project Management experience around Cloud technology (Oracle, Azure, Google, AWS).
Candidates should possess at least 12 - 15 years of experience relevant to this position (e.g. Program / Project Management / implementation experience) with at least some exposure to Cloud technology (Oracle, Azure, Google, AWS) technology. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to successfully lead complex projects while working effectively with client management, client business users, and IT organizations. This role will further require strong influencing and negotiation skills.
All candidates will need the ability to travel as needed in the US and Canada - Candidates can live anywhere in the US but must be able and willing to travel as needed;
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
BA/BS; MS comparable is strongly preferred
Project Management Certification preferred
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Problem Solving and Negotiating
Ability to travel 75% of time, depending on assigned accounts
Oracle Cloud or competitive cloud experience
