As a Production Scheduler/Material Planning, you will:
Manage the planning and expediting of work orders.
Manage scheduling activities that establish the sequence and timeframe of manufacturing work orders to the floor in order to meet demand requirements.
Monitor material and supply inventories through an established computer program and system to establish proper replenishment and stocking quantities.
Manage the communication between Management and Production Floor regarding customer delivery requirements and changes.
Key contributor to Customer on Time Delivery Performance Metric.
Advise Management of conditions which could affect quality or delivery critical work order on-time delivery.
Develop and maintain a positive relationship with co- workers.
Exercise judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Act as the liaison to: Production Management, Production Cell Planners, Purchasing, Quality Personnel.
Efficient and timely release of NDT work orders within 2 days of order entry exchange to ERP system.
Maintain up to date knowledge on work orders with part shortages utilizing Trial Kit program.
Efficient and timely responses to Management on Commercial Operations order inquires.
Contribute to meeting NDT Key Performance Indicator for ONDT On-Time Delivery Interaction and working with other departments and employees within Olympus NDT Champion Lean activities and support 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.

The Production Schedule is responsible for planning Production work orders to meet the company’s on-time delivery goals. He/She works closely with manufacturing/production, engineering - and purchasing to mitigate and resolve capacity, process and material constraints to the timely release of work orders. The incumbent monitors process of constraint resolution and facilitates when appropriate. He/She expedites work orders when necessary to meet customer delivery dates. The incumbent identifies and reports Production yields issues when abnormal or constraint to meeting on time delivery. The Production Scheduler plans work orders in accordance with the master production schedule based on customer demand. He/She will follow-up on material availability for processing of kits and expediting of late deliveries. The incumbent will monitor production plans and design changes to ensure product availability and communicate material related problems back to Management. The Production Scheduler will coordinate the resolution of material issues that prohibit the timely release of work orders, which could include rejected and quality issues as required.
High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment and experience as planner or master production scheduler.
Functional Knowledge of ERP systems and MRP.
Must be a highly organized, self-managed individual who works well independently with minimum supervision and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Ability to understand ECOs [Engineering Change Orders], Deviation, Bills of materials, and specification sheets.
Attentiveness to detail.
Strong computer skills and ability to use all Microsoft Applications.
Ability to work with technical data.
