Job Description

Successful candidate will work as a full time employee on the SkyTracker project. SkyTracker is a unmanned aircraft system (UAS) detection and mitigation system. Candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, operating and maintaining software for the SkyTracker system. Candidate will be given high level tasking and be expected to produce results without constant oversight. Some travel may be required for customer integration and initial software support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full time Software Engineer responsible for the development of the SkyTracker project. You will work on enhancing the web application that is the heart and soul for the SkyTracker application. Will design and build the AngularJS application that powers the SkyTracker web application. Knowledge of Linux operating systems is a huge plus. Familiarity with RPMs is a plus. Familiarity with Puppet is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Java programming experience

  • Javascript GUI programming experience

  • AngularJS GUI programming experience

  • Troubleshooting and debugging skills

  • Experience with version control software

Desired Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of software development experience

  • Git experience

  • Familiarity with Puppet

  • Linux experience

  • Python experience

  • Established and productive individual contributor

  • Works independently with general supervision

  • May influence other technical staff through explanation of facts, policies and practices
