The CDM Program is managed within the DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate, (NPPD)/Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C)/Network Security Deployment (NSD) Division, responsible for enhancing the security, resilience, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and communications infrastructure. The DHS CDM Program mission is to safeguard and secure cyberspace in an environment where the threat of cyber-attack is continuously growing and evolving. The CDM Program defends the United States (U.S.) Federal Information Technology (IT) networks from cybersecurity threats by providing continuous monitoring sensors (tools), diagnosis, mitigation tools, and associated services to strengthen the security posture of Government networks.

Job Profile Summary Responsible for Tier III expertise and selective O&M services for Phase 2 tools. Conducts multidisciplinary research collaborating with vendors, equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of Phase 2 tools for product and commercial software. Analyzes tool capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions. Ensures software standards are met. Provides engineering support for technical implementation of cyber solutions in conjunction with hardware product development applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Conducts vulnerability research, penetration testing, malware analysis and reverse engineering development of computer network operations tools.

What You’ll Get to Do:

You will be the lead expert performing Tier III selective O&M services for Phase 2 tools. Team members will support your lead and expertise in performing this work.

  • Provide Tier III expertise for Phase 2 CRED, BEHAVE, and TRUST services

  • Provide advanced engineering expertise, coordinating with solution providers to support additional problem management activities as required

  • Regularly employ ingenuity and creativity to develop new technical solutions to solve difficult and moderately complex problems. Problems typically impact multiple departments or specialties. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experience and analysis of issues.

  • Operate and maintain Phase 2 tools including SailPoint Counteract, Tenable Nessus, and McAfee Policy Auditor

  • Provide QA for team member’s work

  • Responsible for developing, coordinating and maintaining the relevant portions of the Service Operations Handbook and holding team members accountable for following published SOPs.

  • Track and report on team’s performance via formal performance metrics

  • Works to achieve operational targets with major impact on the departmental results. Contributes to the development of goals for the department and planning efforts (budgets, operational plans, etc.). May manage large projects or processes that span outside of immediate job area. Work is performed with minimal oversight.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within technical discipline. Typically, responsible for leading large or complex projects that involve technically challenging requirements at this level, involving delegation of work and review of work products.

  • Demonstrated experience managing CRED, BEHAVE, and TRUST services to include: SailPoint Counteract, Tenable Nessus, and McAfee Policy Auditor

  • Demonstrated knowledge of ITIL processes and experience leading a Cyber Operations Team using those processes

  • Clear and proven communicator and leader. Must be able to work well in an environment where they are facilitating a large group of government and other contractor personnel to achieve a common goal.

  • Detail oriented – must be able to recognize critical elements of successful operations and then hold themselves and their teams accountable for meeting those critical elements.

  • Flexibility – The environment is very dynamic. You will be expected to keep up with the changing environment while ensuring a high level of operational effectiveness

  • Team Player – This role is part of a much larger team. You will be expected to grow and develop their subordinate team members’ moral and wellbeing as well as support the overall Operations Team and Team CACI’s mission.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • BA/BS and 7+ YRS Experience

  • Relevant DHS or .Gov Cyber Security focused experience

  • Working knowledge of Service Now and/or Remedy Ticket Management Systems.

  • Security+ Certification or better

  • Relevant product specific Certifications

  • Able to obtain a DoD Clearance

  • Able to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD)
