We are seeking a passionate Systems Engineer who can work well in a team environment and take pride in ensuring the correctness of the product. You will work alongside the development team and be a part of an agile software development lifecycle with active participating in planning, scrums, sprints, regression testing, and sprint reviews. You thrive in a fast-moving environment and enjoy learning and overcoming new challenges and learning new technologies. You enjoy learning new technologies and working to reach consensus. You have experience with complex systems, cloud native technologies, requirements management, and effective verbal and written communication.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide system engineering support to a development team that is geographically dispersed with development factories located in Colorado, Virginia
Become the program’s technical expert on the SE baseline (requirements, CONOP, Test, etc.)
Execute the program’s SE responsibilities including requirements, test, design reviews, schedule, and all other activities along the SE lifecycle
Represent the program’s SE approaches with clients
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience
- A minimum 5 years of related work
A strong commitment to quality
Familiarity with large software development programs
Familiarity with agile development methodologies
Good understanding of Windows and Linux environments
Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
Self-starter and willing to learn new skills
TS/SCI clearance and have or be willing to obtain a current Polygraph
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Designing cloud native applications
Supporting a DevOps work environment
Amazon Web Service offerings
Cloud native landscape
Analytics, machine learning, and data science
Data storage systems: Document stores; Relational databases; Time Series Databases; Key/Value stores
Client/server systems using REST interfaces
Engineering estimates for costing
SCRUM and/or Kanban certification
