Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry

What will you do?

  • Conduct chromatography evaluation for R&D projects on chromatography consumables. Plan and design evaluation platform for new product development with the aim of assessing prototype analytical performances

  • Generate high quality collaterals that promotes the scientific capabilities of the new products, including application notes, technical notes, scientific content for technical guides, posters, peer reviewed journal articles and presentations

  • Evaluate new technologies from research institutions, aiming to enhance future products

  • The primary responsibility is developing chromatography consumables for small molecule separations

  • The secondary responsibility is developing chromatography consumables for large bio-molecule separations, such as proteins, peptides, glycans, and oligonucleotides

How will you get here?

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in chemistry, or a closely related field focusing on liquid chromatography separation, and 5+ years of related experience

  • Or a Master's degree in chemistry, or a closely related field focusing on liquid chromatography separation, and 3+ years of experience

  • or a Doctoral degree (Ph.D) in chemistry, or a closely related field focusing on liquid chromatography separation

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of principles, concepts, practices and standards in analytical chemistry and separation science is required

  • Strong practical experience and understanding of HPLC and associated sample preparation techniques is required

  • Prior experience in small molecule, protein, and peptide analysis using HPLC is required

  • Technical communication: ability to prepare reports, protocols, product transfer documents and scientific papers; ability to verbally present complex content across functional areas; ability to adjust communication to accommodate audience diversity is required

  • Record keeping: to maintain detailed records of all work carried out which are maintained as the intellectual property of the company, is required

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft word, excel, and power point is required

  • Expertise in developing RP, HILIC, SEC, IEC and HIC modes of analytical column is desired

  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and apply in-depth specialty knowledge, creativity and judgment to resolve a variety of complex problems is desired

  • Ability to actively contribute ideas to new products and knowledge of Intellectual Property basics is desired
