If you are driven and motivated to become part of a dynamic team, we have an opening for a Technical Trainer / Instructor to join our growing team. This position can be based out of our Surrey, Saskatoon or Winnipeg branch.Reporting to the Customer Care & Technical Support Lead , you will manage technical trainers and as well as deliver technical product (engine) training in support of Cummins end-users.
Please Note: Dependent on our placement of and the candidate’s willingness to be located strategically, this position could require 30 to 50% travel. Most of the travel will be within Western Canada except for travel to the US for any required certification courses or other Cummins training demands.
Your responsibilities may include:
Deliver technical product training (engine and associated equipment) to Dealers and Customer technicians.
Achieve and/or maintain Cummins Inc Trainer qualification status.
Conduct weekly technical engine training courses in classroom and lab setting.
Test, score and evaluate technicians on written and hands-on testing.
Prepare classroom materials in advance of training class.
Maintain engine training modules and associated equipment.
Ability to communicate detailed technical concepts in a clear and concise format.
Ability and enthusiasm to coach and teach technical skills.
Ability to adapt to changing customer requirements.
Superior technical understanding and repair capabilities on mainstream Cummins engine models (Automotive/Industrial engines paramount).
Superior ability with INSITE, QSOL and understanding of BETT.
* Education, Licenses, Certifications: *
Journeyman Heavy Duty, Commercial Transport or Automotive Technician Certification.
Multi-product Cummins certified technician.
* Experience: *
Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada without Sponsorship.
Proven experience developing and delivering technical training material.
Must have demonstrated hands on knowledge of various Cummins engines / technologies.

Specific Tickets / Licenses are checked as required, and Drivers Abstracts are required for any position where driving is part of the job.
