Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  1. To ensure consistent delivery of quality output utilizing IBM's processes and procedures

  2. Rich experience in delivering Japanese projects

  3. Implement assigned changes following specific documentation

  4. Perform security related tasks against specific documentation

  5. Problem determination and resolution within agreed SLA

  6. Maintain a thorough understanding of the systems and client supported

  7. Manage and resolve problems assigned by help desk or operations

  8. Maintain Information repository and documents

  9. Maintain after hours on call support for the IBM account

  10. Other activities as directed by the leader or manger

Job Requirements (skills/experiences)

  1. Fluent in Japanese

  2. UNIX System administration –L2

  3. Network (TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP) – L2

  4. Application administration – L2

  5. Linux commands, shell experience – L1

  6. Oracle database knowledge – L1

  7. Experience with one or more flavors of Unix ( AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, Linux , etc)

  8. Experience with computer literacy including exposure to Office tools

  9. Experience in a process driven environment

  10. Knowledge of one or more flavors of APP(Database, Websphere, SAP)

  11. Knowledge of enterprise storage concepts

  12. Ability to write/debug shell scripts

Qualifications (Education/Major/Certificates)

  • Graduate from Information Technology, Engineering or Science School

  • Must have excellent team working skills

  • Fluency in Japanese is mandatory, both written and verbal

  • Preferred IBM AIX Certified Engineer

  • More then 3 years experience with Unix environment
