Executive Director, Industry Strategy and Innovation

Preferred Qualifications

Responsible for improving the success of the Construction and Engineering GBU by providing senior leadership in the areas of; linking customer business needs to the Construction and Engineering GBU product strategy, strategically supporting sales engagements, building and expanding internal Oracle and third party partnerships, identifying and supporting the Construction and Engineering GBU’s marketing strategy and events, and delivering competitive analysis to the sales and product teams.

Responsibilities:

Provide strategic sales support by building relationships with key decision makers, understanding prospects’ business issues and application requirements, communicating the Construction and Engineering GBU’s mission and product strategy, helping to identify the proposed solution, and engagement approach .

Internal and external partnership identification, support and management. This includes defining the partnership market potential, identifying which internal groups and external organizations to partner with, collaborating with the partner to craft the go-to-market solution, then developing and executing on the go-to-market strategy.

Define the go-to-market industry or product strategy, and tactically develop and support the marketing events for multiple verticals. This includes the development of the go-to-market strategy, identifying and supporting the marketing channels (e.g. conferences, webinars, social) to communicate the strategy and generate leads, and finally to mentor all sales related teams on how to best execute the GTM strategy.

Provide internal and external E&C industry thought leadership including the industry’s health, status, changes, and competition.

Collaborate with Product Strategy and Product Development to describe; how the CEGBU’s products are actually used, how they compare against the competition, functionality holes that need to be closed, and how the respective products need to be connected to provide improved value to the customer.

Knowledge/Experience Level:

  • 20 years E&C industry experience in an IT and/or operations senior management role

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills

  • Understanding of software product development and management

  • BS degree required, Masters’ degree desired

  • Strong communication and analytical skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Acknowledged expert/professional within company and/or industry nationally and internationally. Provides leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, techniques. Acts as primary consultant on large projects that effect the organization

  • s long term objectives / strategy. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 12 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
