Mercer is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner on a 12 month fixed term contract based in the Sydney office: What can you expect? Mercer Australia is currently looking for a Human Resource Business Partner to join the Sydney team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a hands on role where you will partner with Business Unit Leaders to implement our people strategy and whilst also providing generalist Human Resources advice and support. You will actively contribute to the talent management strategy to support employee engagement, assesses training needs, guide leaders through talent review and succession planning process, and coach managers on how to be more effective developers of people. Liaise with the Rewards and HR Systems Center of Expertise to implement performance management processes, salary reviews and year-end processes, including assistance with job matching for salary survey participation, advising leadership on how to administer budget according to group guidelines, addressing ad hoc pay issues throughout the year. Facilitates the change management process through communication by assisting employees in understanding and supporting the organizational changes. Leading and contributing to a range of HR projects What you need to have: We are looking for a suitably qualified HR Business Partner that demonstrates commercial acumen coupled with broad experience in the provision of generalist HR support and the following skills, experience & qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Psychology or other related discipline Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a similar HR Generalist role Broad experience in the provision of generalist HR support in the areas of; talent management, IR/ER, remuneration etc Exceptional planning, decision making and problem-solving ability Stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience working in a large financial or professional services firm Ability to be comfortable working with senior leaders Ability to work autonomously whilst being an active member of the Mercer HR Team Ability to facilitate investigations, disciplinary and termination processes R088023-en R088023
