About the role As a Risk and Compliance Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Risk & Compliance Leader in aspects of the Institutional Wealth and Career businesses. This role is critical in providing ongoing support on matters of risk management and regulatory compliance risk appetite and control monitoring, and risk reporting including general advice on regulatory matters.
This role would suit a candidate in the early stages of their Risk and Compliance career. You will ideally have a minimum of 1 -3 years’ experience within a Financial Services organisation.
Facilitate risk identification and risk assessments. Control design effectiveness assessments. Monitor and report on remedial action planning. Support the facilitation of line of business and related Board entities risk workshops. Maintenance and monitoring of Board and Line of Business Risk Appetite Statements (RAS). Prepare timely regular Line 2 Risk Management and Compliance reporting. Undertake research of MMC/Mercer Compliance Policies (Local and Global) and/or Regulatory and AFS Licence requirements to support line of business queries. Work with the Enterprise Compliance teams to ensure that all relevant ASIC Regulatory Guides, Standards etc. are identified and mapped accordingly to line of business risk profiles.
Work with the Enterprise Compliance team to ensure that any statutory compliance plans (i.e. Managed Investment Schemes) and AFS Licence obligations (RE requirements) are adequately maintained and monitored. Ensure that the business is adhering to all Board approved policies. QualificationsSkills and experience:
University level qualifications in business management or equivalent.
Ideally, a minimum 1-3 year’s working in a risk, compliance and/or legal role with experience related to Wealth and Asset management, custodian arrangements, funds management or investments
Experience in completing fund (managed investment scheme) registrations, working with investment accounting operations and reviewing disclosure and marketing material would be highly regarded
Experience, understanding and ability to operate within a Risk and Compliance framework
Ability to provide advice in relation to control design
Ability to analyse data and collate and prepare reports in relation to risk profiles, statutory compliance requirements, regulatory fund lodgements, incidents, audit and risk data
