About the role Marsh Valuation Services, incorporating AssetVal, is a specialist valuation division with Marsh undertaking valuations of property, infrastructure, plant and equipment assets throughout the Pacific Region for public and private sector clients. We are seeking to appoint an entry level engineer for the role of Plant, Equipment & Infrastructure valuer in our Sydney CBD office as a part of our growing valuation practice. The role will see you learn and grow your engineering capabilities, by undertaking valuation projects for financial reporting and insurance purposes. This role would suit a driven and organised individual with looking to grow their career in a unique industry within a fast growing organisation. The key responsibilities of the role include: Assisting valuers throughout the Pacific region with projects across a range of industries Undertaking research Assisting in the completion of valuations including the inspection of assets, reporting and calculations Managing clients and client information to assist in completing valuation projects Working both as part of a team and individually to assist with valuation assignments Communication with clients and stakeholders The role would suit an individual who has recently graduated an engineering degree with <3 years engineering or valuation experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and personal traits: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – preferably Civil or Mechanical or equivalent degree suitable to valuations; Experience in an asset management or cost estimating role would be highly desirable; Motivated self-starter; Open to learning; Ability to be both self-sufficient and work as part of a team; Professional presentation; Client focused; Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal; Willing to travel both inter and intra state; Strong attention to detail; and Advanced computer competency, in particular MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel About Marsh Marsh is a global leader in insurance broking and risk management.
