Job Description

We are looking for talented WebShepre Message Queue (WMQ) experts or candidates who would like to participate in comprehensive projects. Due to the complexity of the work the education will take approximately 1 year and will include classroom, on the job, online courses. The job role to be fulfilled after the project is:

Mainframe Systems Programmer

System programmer should be self-sufficient and able to perform the majority of the tasks involved in his or her role without assistance.

Mainframe and WMQ skills are not a must but advantage! In case you have no mainframe and WMQ skill after joining participation on internal courses organized by IBM.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

At least 2 years IT experience

English: Fluent

Existing skills or ones to be reached:

-Proficient with the WebSphere MQ environment

-Knowledge how to configure and administer WebSphere MQ in the z/OS platform

-Application deployment techniques and procedures

-Installation, patching, configuring and problem determination for WebSphere MQ

-Experience and capability in dealing with vendors for problem determination

-Proficient in data transfer (and transformation) to and from host systems

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

At least 3 years IT experience

Mainframe skills (For example: MVS: z/OS or OS 390, TSO/E, ISPF, JES2 or JES3, JCL, RACF, TWS)

TCP/IP knowledge

SSL/TLS certification management

Main responsibilities:

-Building and management of WebSphere MQ in a highly available environment on the Mainframe platforms

-Systems/Applications Management experience

-Configuring security, defining Queue Sharing Groups, publish/subscribe administration, gathering and analyzing statistics and accounting data for performance tuning

-Troubleshooting/Performance Tuning of Websphere Message Queue application

-Ensuring environment has no single points of failure and is operationally robust

-Management and development of monitoring solutions for Websphere MQ
