A career in our Innovation Development practice, within Innovation services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients' redesign, redefine, and redeploy their Assurance and/or tax departments to be a strategic asset across the enterprise. You'll focus on assisting clients as they incorporate increased automation, machine learning, data & analytics, Open Source technologies into their processes to deliver better quality output and contribute more strategically to organisational decision making.

Our team helps our clients create a guided path to innovation by developing the right methods that generate insight based ideas, and to select, produce and commercialise the most valuable and viable results. You’ll focus on software driven innovation strategy, software technology diligence, operating model design, software product planning and management, and software architecture and cloud strategy.

Responsibilities

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines

  • Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors

  • Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities

  • Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications

  • Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of our clients and our own assignment quality criteria

  • Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team

  • Responsibility for management of engagement financials

  • Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching

This team is developing capabilities leveraging the latest in a wide variety of technologies to automate and accelerate our client engagements across the enterprise. We are focused on incorporating the latest in machine learning, Big Data, NoSQL, cutting edge development languages, and advanced data processing techniques. This role provides leadership of Dev Ops function and is responsible for seamlessly and efficiently building and deploying the environments and solutions.

Bachelor Degree

Additional Educational Requirements :

Bachelor's degree Bachelor's in one of the following: Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Technology, and/or other related field of study.

Minimum Years of Experience :

8 year(s) of software development and architecture experience.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Cloud based platforms, Immutable infrastructure, Containers - Docker, Kubernetes, etc., Jenkins, Scripting in python, ruby, and/or powershell

  • Engaging with technology specialists, operations staff, and technology team leadership;

  • Communicating to team leadership, business sponsors, and quality review groups to effectively and efficiently explain Dev Ops processes;

  • Developing strategies and road maps with a Dev Ops focus;

  • Leading a team of Dev Ops engineers responsible for the tools and processes to build and deploy the Assurance applications and required infrastructure;

  • Working with technical operations, change management, and security teams to ensure automated deployment processes adhere to standards;

  • Defining the strategy for and managing source control, build, and other processes

  • Experience with Agile development methodology

  • Experience working with version control technologies such as Git, TFS, VSTS
