Job Description

The Innovation practice is a national group comprised of a variety of teams that focus on implementing solutions internally and externally that will impact the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' tax functions. Process improvement, transformation, system implementation, effective use of technology and data & analytics, and leveraging alternative delivery solutions are key areas of focus to drive additional value to our clients. The Advanced Tax Analytics and Innovation Practice is a national group focusing on emerging technologies, innovation, thought leadership and providing insights to internal and external stakeholders. The practice is also charged with development of external analytics training, research and technology assessments. The Emerging Technology Products Team will focus on the commercialization of emerging technology solutions.

They will be responsible for working closely with subject matter experts to understand applicability and overall impact to the market.

The team will also focus on go to market strategy,

including identifying customer base, pricing strategy, marketing/sales, and the overall distribution/hosting approach (i.e. SaaS, cloud, on-prem).

The product management team is responsible for defining and driving the product roadmap from conception of ideas to worldwide launch, and identifying potential products, conducting market research, generating timetables, pricing and time-integrated plans for product introduction.

They will work work in close collaboration with our data analytics, software engineering, data science and engineering and internal product teams across the tax line of services.

Team Leadership will also work closely with the research arm of the Emerging Technology practice to stay abreast of new tools and vendors in the marketplace. They will have perspective on emerging trends and technologies that may have a material impact on the firm, our clients, and the society in the near future.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 8

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Certification(s) Required: CPA, Admission to the Bar, oe one of the following; Enrolled Agent, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), SAP Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional, PhD

  • Computer Science/Information Science or STEM Equivalent, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP),Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), UX Certificate

  • Nielson Norman Group, Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or equivalent institutional Data Science Program, Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Degree Preferred: Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technology and tax technology fields. Significant experience may compensate for this desired requirement.

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Building, deploying, and commercializing software using data analytics, visualization, block chains, artificial intelligence, data mining, and/or machine learning;

  • Taking technology to market;

  • Demonstrating passion for emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, cognitive interfaces, Internet of Things, and emerging business practices such as the collaborative/sharing economy, social commerce, emerging data-driven and mobile business models;

  • Leveraging knowledge of the U.S. market, business practices, and the technology sector; and,

  • Demonstrating experience in a professional services or technology firm.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in the following areas:

  • Developing digital projects, release planning, creating roadmaps, and managing and creating backlog/requirements utilizing prioritization planning;

  • Creating competitive analyses for potential products to drive appropriate segmentation approaches, to develop preliminary business cases, and to refine them all as emergent information arises;

  • Managing multidisciplinary product teams and collaborating with designers, business users, and developers to innovate and drive product development;

  • Working with high level UX principles such as user stories, pretotype/prototype development approaches, information architecture, and customer/product research methodologies (e.g., A/B testing and MVT);

  • Designing engaging user experiences for desktop, web, or mobile apps; and,

  • Combining strategic thinking with tactical execution as well as a passion for project management.

The Delivery Leader will be responsible for leading various teams such as the content specialists and automation teams. In addition, Leader will ensure connectivity across multiple functions and alignment with other PwC teams.

Leader is responsible for aligning all tasks with PwC's current automation strategy.
