Responsibilities

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above

  • Be involved in the financial management of clients

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges

  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects

  • Train, coach, and supervise staff

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

In this role, you will oversee teams working directly with our national Tax business unit teams and internal delivery teams to drive digitization and process automation, educate and support the practice on effective build, deployment and maintenance of solutions and provide continuous improvement in our technological solutions by championing emerging technologies.

CPA and/or Enrolled Agent, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean Green Belt/Master Green Belt, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), SAP Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional, or any other professional certifications approved for the practice.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Understanding process improvement initiatives and familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc.;

  • Demonstrating mastery in automation technologies, including Alteryx, Tableau and UiPath;

  • Working in full life cycle of automation solution implementation;

  • Understanding tax-related data analytics, including a proven track record of supporting tax technology initiatives in tax functions of provisions and compliance;

  • Understanding business requirements and converting them into automation solution design;

  • Delivering solutions that optimize processes across business strategies and technology capabilities;

  • Understanding and addressing technology needs to support tax function effectiveness and driving standardization of delivery and activities;

  • Demonstrating thorough problem solving skills and ability to propose alternate solutions using technology;

  • Translating outcomes into tactical plans and results;

  • Cultivating and managing relationships with senior leaders, and to influence change through group facilitation and presentation skills;

  • Leading multiple work streams or project deliverables to execute against an existing project or work plan;

  • Leading teams to create an atmosphere of trust;

  • Seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation;

  • Participating in staff recruitment and retention activities;

  • Coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback; and,

  • Managing a virtual team and collaborating across various geographies, domestically and globally.
