PwC Partnership Tax - Domestic Tax - Senior Associate - Tampa in Tampa, Florida

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Our Internal Tax team provides internal services related to financial services, treasury and taxation. As part of our team, you’ll help the team provide a full range of taxation services to PwC related to complex financial reporting, cost management, tax planning, investment management and transaction processing.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above

  • Train and lead staff

  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients

  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues

  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients

  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, local tax return preparation, tax regulations, tax compliance and tax issues.

  • Working knowledge of domestic income tax.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Partnership Tax Accounting.

  • Demonstrated experience preparing federal, state and local tax returns and supporting schedules for the Firm and partners.

  • Demonstrated experience meeting tax compliance requirements, researching strategies to minimize the tax liabilities and risks, making decisions regarding preparation of tax schedules for tax returns, and solving complex issues impacting tax returns.

  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing multiple tax filing requirements and effectively working with people to establish the timely receipt of relevant information needed for all tax filings.

  • Demonstrated ability to build solid relationships with management, staff members, and other Firm's Finance groups by assisting and proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback.
