Work you ll do

The Pricing Analyst plays a leading role in the operation and maintenance of a model based pricing optimization engine for our clients. The role involves ensuring that the analytics engine is updated and executed on the required schedule, supporting the analytic models powering the engine including resolving questions regarding recommended price changes, and improving the analytic models based on performance of the recommendations. The role would also serve as critical member of a team of pricing analysts who are tasked with advising our clients and Pricing Advisors. The Pricing Analyst should have a strong grasp of pricing and economic concepts and previous experience in the build and support of analytic models for pricing.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for ongoing maintenance and updates of pricing optimization analytic models

Coordinate with pricing advisors and other analysts by investigating model results based on client inquiries

Develop and support communication on rationale for pricing decisions with internal teams

Develop and implement ongoing improvements for analytic models

Support internal teams fielding questions on price recommendations from the client

Lead and mentor junior level Analysts

The team

Hybrid Solutions Incubation

Our Hybrid Solutions and Incubation team is responsible for developing, managing and operating a suite of data-powered solutions that address our clients most complex business issues within the Strategy & Analytics space. By combining design thinking with science on a cloud-based platform, we give decision makers at every level of the organization fast, cost-effective access to actionable information.

In addition to developing new IP, the team is responsible for incubating new businesses, specifically focused on As-A-Service businesses; we help these businesses gain market traction and scale them into the broader practice.

Hybrid Solutions and Incubation will help our clients to:

Achieve fast and actionable insights by accessing a suite of data-powered and industry-tailored accelerators, solutions and products

Have ongoing access to Deloitte s Strategy & Analytics expertise as we grow our As-A-Service business models

Uncover new insights to their business using Deloitte data sources that are monetized through the insight derived or the assets that are data powered

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Master s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, or Social Sciences (or other degree or relevant work experience)

Strong analytical background with command of 4th generation programming language (e.g. R, Python, SAS)

Ability to drive insights from large, complex data sets and explain model results to non-technical audiences

Strong communication skills and experience leading teams

Preferred Skills:

Strong understanding of the restaurant industry landscape, competitors, and market dynamics
