Job Description

A key priority to achieving success in our Firm is Global Delivery Model (GDM). Within the Tax Line of Service (LoS), the GDM model focuses on developing Service Delivery Centers (SDCs) to perform routine tax activities that are high volume, low risk and non-client facing. The SDCs will focus on leveraging technology and standardized processes with a critical focus on efficiency. The Tax SDCs are home to many of our critical business processes being delivered to PwC's Tax clients and also manage Global Delivery Center services. Tax currently has many high priority positions that are critical to the development, implementation and future of the Service Delivery Centers. Joining this growing part of our business will provide an opportunity to be a part of the transformation of the way the Tax LoS delivers client service.

The Team Lead will provide the Market and Regional Leaders with regular reporting on capabilities, availabilities, progress, and performance of the team. This role is essential for the efficiencies around budget analysis, work load balance and overtime reporting.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 3

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's degree

Certification(s) Required: CPA or EA

or commitment to pass CPA exam before being promoted to Manager and thereafter obtain CPA licensure and/or Enrolled Agent

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with proven success in roles involving accounting areas of focus.

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success serving in a role within a professional services firm as a primary liaison to clients, developing relationships and appropriately influencing as needed, which includes the following:

  • Evaluating forecasts against capacity to support scheduling and work load balance efforts;

  • Reporting and analysis of various metric;

  • Implementing appropriate processes within the team;

  • Performing Quality Review of work processed in a service delivery center team;

  • Identifying efficiencies and industry-leading practices that enhance quality and productivity;

  • Delivering consistent standardization in Client correspondence;

  • Collaborating with other Team Leads to support overall process across Teams; and,

  • Utilizing tax compliance processes and current federal and state regulatory developments that affect the public accounting industry.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Identifying and addressing client needs by building solid relationships with clients develop an awareness of Firm services, approaching clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner, delivering clear requests for information, and demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks;

  • Developing strategy and writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting cogently to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management, including inspection and quality review results, presentations and reports needed by SDC leadership, and/or other standard business communications;

  • Utilizing tax tools and resources to assist Tax engagement teams, including tax preparation software such as GoSystem, Tax Stream, Vertex, Corptax, RIA , or other similar platforms;

  • Supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust by seeking diverse view to encourage improvement and innovation. participating in various staff recruitment and retention activities, and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.
