Shell Wellsite Operator in Tara - Kenya and Windibri, Australia

This role is responsible for safe and efficient support of operations team in gas processing plants at legacy and QCLNG assets. The incumbent is required to execute routine operational maintenance support requirements on hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon equipment under the supervision of the area owner.
Oversee a range of critical wellsite services in this key role with room to grow. You’ll perform well tie-ins, separator and drive head maintenance, flow and flare line installations, site preparation and well optimisation.
You will manage and co-ordinate logistic support (transport, materials etc.) for well site production activities as well as inspect and maintain wellheads and valves and ensure material transfers are complete.

It is essential you are competent in the operation of the gas engines, hydraulic motors and pumps used in the oil and gas industry.
Experience in the safe handling of hydrocarbons and in working under relevant regulation and safe operating standards will also be required. As will experience in Instrumentation and measuring principles and practices, Operation and maintenance of gas compression equipment, experience with mechanical operations and a Permit Authority Certificate would be desirable.
Your specialist knowledge of the policies and procedures relating to Gas Well Site regulatory conditions and, sound regulatory understanding and ability to develop an operational awareness team culture are crucial.
You will have outstanding skills in time management, communication, problem solving and influencing. You will also be capable of building effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders including staff, contractors and external suppliers.
We are looking for an assertive and motivated individual with a safe and successful track record working in gas operations in the oil, gas, Energy industries in Australia.
The role could suit some local to Chinchilla or the surrounding are and is worked on a 15/13 rotation.
