Lead Gas Plant Operator

The Lead Gas Plant Operator is a key role in our QGC Asset based near Chinchilla, Queensland. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the compression facilities in compliance with the operations management system policies and operational HSSE requirements. You will provide prompt and reliable decision making and demonstrate strong leadership capabilities. You will also serve as the first point of contact to support, coach and mentor operators.
Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities of this role are:
Monitor efficiency of plant and equipment to maximize operation, in accordance to the Safe Operating Envelope (SOE).
Coordinate maintenance activities including asset preparation, isolations, fit for service reviews and integrity compliance.
Design and implement isolations within the compression facilities.
Report on all equipment fault, deviations and upset in plant conditions via Maximo.
Ensure compliance with all HSSE and control of work requirements, including auditing.
Ensure immediate reporting and investigation of all HSSE and process incidents.
Supervise the induction program for new starters and visitors entering the facilities.
Provide support to the Gas Plant Supervisor on all aspects of the Management of Change (MOC).
Participate in risk assessments associated with Inhibits and Overrides.

The candidate we are therefore seeking for this position, will have/be;
Certificate III in Gas Plant Operations.
Demonstrated experience in gas plant, refinery or petrochemical operations.
Knowledgeable in risk assessment and evaluation.
Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience in SAP and Maximo is desirable.
