What you’ll be doing...
The Global Network & Technology (GN&T) team is hiring a strategic thinker to join a high profile, high visibility team that powers Network analytics and strategic thinking for Verizon. You will be part of a team that builds tools, analysis, and insights that informs, quantifies, and enables the visualization of data to drive business decisions and investment in support of the GN&T Transformation Efforts. Location is flexible, employee may sit field Network location within the US.
We create actionable operational and strategic insights and visualizations for senior leaders in the company across multiple organizations. This is a job for an intelligent, decisive, quick, forward-thinking, strategic, and tactical thought leader. You have exceptional influencing skills and preferred experience working across areas and levels of an organization.
Stitch together the transformation initiatives being worked within the functional teams.
Standardize key engineering, construction, and operational processes.
Provide active and assertive leadership on key projects designed to simplify processes, reduce expenses, free up capital, and drive towards the Network Architecture of the future.
Act as an effective change agent utilizing proper stakeholder analysis and change management techniques.
Provide template and governance for management updates on project status, key metrics, issues, and risks.
Consolidate functional team updates.
Be a liaison between functional teams on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
A degree in engineering, IT, business or technical discipline.
Ability to drive results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects on time and budget.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience creating and presenting presentations to all levels of an organization.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Ability to focus on process and the customer experience.
Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility.
Experienced team leader with proven facilitation, change management, and problem solving experience.
Ability to be comfort in working up and across the organization – working with senior staff members and front line employees.
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward.
Ability to handle extremely confidential information appropriately.
