This job description provides criteria for the evaluation of the CT Technologist. The CT Technologist performs CT procedures to patients in the age ranges as listed: neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
Responsible for performing CT procedures and evaluating the quality of exams done.
Responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice and managing supplies, and equipment on the unit.Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care. Must meet all position responsibilities for the CT Technologist position..
Adheres to and complies with HCA's ethics and compliance policies in the Code of Conduct.
Enters appropriate charges for exams in a timely manner.
Transports patients, as required, to ensure procedures are not delayed.
Verifies physician's orders before starting procedure to ensure appropriateness/accuracy.
Uses power injecting equipment cautiously while ensuring injections are timed properly for each exam.
INTERACTION WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS:
Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other clinical disciplines in making decisions regarding each patient's CT procedures.
Works with professional and non-professional employees of the hospital and with physicians, patients and their families.
Experience: ARRT with at least six months experience in CT
Education: Graduate of accredited school of Radiology Technology; Educational requirements appropriate for meeting age-specific needs of the patients.
