Shell Information Security Architect - ERP in The Hague, Netherlands

Job Title:

Information Security Architect - ERP

No. of Positions:

Job Description:

Bring your mix of IT expertise and architecture experience to a role that will have a big impact on the security of our business. With every chance to develop both your professional and personal skills.

Where you fit

As Information Security Architect for ERP, your primary aim will be to analyse our current ERP landscape against our IT strategy, and to develop and embed security into those systems to ensure our information remains secure. You will be the architect focal point to champion security-by-design and privacy-by-design across our ERP organization.

You will be responsible for all of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) landscapes, helping to drive the secure implementation of these systems across Shell, whilst you also develop the underlying security guidelines and standards for all our ERP systems, in line with internal and external best practices and standards.

What’s the role?

Your main role will be to assess any security gaps and then put in place a strategy and plan of action to ensure the continued security and integrity of our ERP systems. This will include collaborating with a wide range of stake holders to define the target architecture, documenting the security decisions and ensuring we implement the necessary capabilities and services to secure these critical systems. More specifically, you’ll develop and implement the target security strategy for all ERP/SAP on-premise components (ECC, HANA, BW, etc.) as well as SAP in the cloud including PaaS and SaaS services (S4HC, Ariba, Concur, SAP Cloud Platform, etc.)

With your strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and deep expertise in all things SAP, you’ll easily position yourself as an ambassador for security across our global ERP organization. Collaborating closely with stakeholders across our enterprise, you’ll use your expertise to help shape any architecture work which impacts security within the ERP landscape. In practice that means developing the security strategy, targets, driving solutions through to completion, and championing data privacy.

Naturally, you’ll also keep up-to-date with new security technologies, keenly identifying any gaps and staying abreast of current and emerging security threats to ensure the security of our ERP systems are capable of mitigating those threats.

More specific duties will include:

  • Demonstrating compliance to ERP security standards and requirements, prioritising business critical systems and high-risk issues.

  • Helping to identify business needs and value opportunities which contribute to targets and annual plans.

  • Developing reference architectures, and participating in solution architecture design reviews.

Finally, you’ll nurture collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across IT engineering, operations and information management teams, skilfully translating complex technical information across all levels of the organization, and leading global, multi-disciplinary teams that deliver on performance.
