What’s the role?
As Senior Business Analyst in our Upstream IT organisation, you’ll be providing vital business insights and analytical support to our gas global business partners, with a particular focus on strategic corporate finance processes, from portfolio management to business planning. Always with a view to driving the performance of business operations.
Your role will lead on the review of business processes, identifying risks and spotting any opportunities for improving efficiency, whether it be financial, operational, or technological. Along with presenting business cases and developing investment proposals, you’ll make optimum use of your strong technical skills, advising on the development and improvement of our information systems.
Results-driven, you’ll thrive on initiating projects and ensuring their efficient and timely delivery, keeping everyone up-to-date with progress, priorities and scope. Positioning yourself as a trusted expert, you'll confidently navigate conflicting interests to successfully resolve issues. Harnessing evolving technologies to spark and shape changes, from innovative design and data improvements, to supporting partnerships and systems that meet business strategies.
A natural people person, you’ll easily adapt your communication style to effectively lead and advise on customer and business needs and expectations, and translate discussions between strategy and technical teams. You’ll relish motivating a diverse team and be equally comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, nurturing the kind of collaborative relationships we pride ourselves on, creating a dynamic platform for exchanging ideas and sharing vision.

What we need from you
We’re keen to talk to men and women with proven experience working within IT business analysis, ideally with some understanding of finance. Along with a Bachelor’s degree within IT or a similar discipline, we’d hope to see as much of the following on your CV:
Commercial knowledge combined with expertise in improving business processes.
A broad understanding of the application of IT, plus in-depth knowledge of at least one specific technical area.
Professional certificates within business analysis (preferably, CBAP, AAC or PBA).
Strong leadership skills, demonstrated experience with leading teams of Business Analysts or equivalent roles.
Understanding of business strategy, especially with regards finance.
Demonstrated experience in complex stakeholder management environments, backed up by solid interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
