Join us in this highly engaging and influential role as part of Shell’s Global IT Strategy Consulting Center of Excellence (CoE).. The CoE partners closely with each area of our business to develop strategic insights in IT where they matter most.
As a Senior IT Strategy Consultant, you will have the unique opportunity to understand the bigger picture for one of the world’s largest companies. Together with your team, you will provide consulting support for strategic IT themes impacting our business through short, highly structured engagements. Working well under pressure, you analyze the as-is technology portfolio, review trends and innovations in the market and understand the dynamics of our business. You then use this information to define strategic insights and provide your clients with a clear and structured advise, backed up by a solid dataset or business case.
Based in The Hague, you’ll work on a broad range of engagements simultaneously. You will be working as part of our IT Strategy Consulting Center of Expertise (CoE), a group of likeminded professionals who are passionate about helping Shell use technology to drive our business into the future. The CoE partners closely with each area of our business to develop IT Strategic insights where they matter most.
As part of this role you will lead or be part of strategic engagements in which you:
Use your communication skills to partner with (senior) stakeholders across all of Shell.
Analyze business goals and objectives by engaging with senior business leaders.
Understand the latest market trends and provide competitive insights.
Provide a view on how IT and new digital technologies can help us to achieve our goals better, faster and cheaper.
Develop clear recommendations, underpinned by data and a solid business case.

We’re keen to hear from men and women who have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in IT and/or Management, along with relevant IT experience and knowledge of digital technologies. Beyond that, we’d hope to see as many of the following as possible on your CV:
Project management and problem-solving skills working in strategy and/or consultancy, and past experience analyzing business models and ecosystems, synthesize strategic recommendations and conduct presentations
Previous experience leading complex projects, deep diving into new business and IT domains and bringing clarity on how IT generates value for Shell.
Mastery in the terminology, metrics, and calculations relevant to business-specific measures and KPIs, such as return on investment (ROI), stakeholder value, benefits realization and capability improvement.
Proven track record of nurturing strong stakeholder relationships at every level.
Experience of Oil & Gas and/or Energy industries will be beneficial.
Evidence of your resilience and ability to successfully manage challenge and conflict.
Excellent oral and written presentation skills
Experience with a wide range of IT/digital technologies and the different models, tools and methods used in the consultancy world
