Shell Strategy and Integration Consultant in The Hague, Netherlands

126154BR

Job Title:

Strategy and Integration Consultant

No. of Positions:

1

Job Description:

We have an exciting new opportunity for those of you with consulting experience and the ability to easily switch between corporate strategy plans and day-to-day embedding activities. Do you want to bring our IT organization to the next level? Then this might be the right position for you.

Where you fit

Evidence of Shell’s digital transformation strategy can be seen every day as new and sophisticated products, tools and services are being developed and deployed in rapid pace. In order to facilitate such a continuous flow of new products, we’re driving a relentless program to establish a product line mindset, allowing us to respond quickly to future business demands.

The Strategy & Integration team supports those efforts and drives progression and transformation within one of Shell’s four lines of business, Global Functions. Home to corporate functions like HR IT and Finance IT, the team ensures a robust IT strategy aligns with strategic business requirements across Global Functions IT.

What’s the role?

The Strategy & Integration Analyst plays a key role in this space, by putting IT strategy into practice. You’ll cover multiple aspects of the Global Functions IT Strategy, by analysing the existing IT operating model, proposing improvements in organizational efficiency and embedding those initiatives within Global Functions IT. All of this whilst building relationships and awareness across the wider IT organization.

It’s a truly dynamic position – you may start your day with conducting a strategic analysis on the existing IT operating model, continue with defining to-be organisational capabilities, processes and governance structures, whilst ending your day with plotting all of that into a migration plan waiting to be embedded.

More specific responsibilities will include:

  • Determine and understand internal and external strategies, trends and challenges.

  • Assess and understand the implications of business strategies and translating this into IT strategies and actions.

  • Formulate and confirm IT strategies – and develop and maintain IT strategic roadmaps.

  • Embed and effectively communicate strategy broadly. C-level engagements will be part of your work.
