This position will provide onsite operations support to practices during centricity implementations. This position will assist with practice preparedness related to revenue cycle operations during these technology implementations, including practice revenue cycle leadership bench, legacy AR management or simply overall AR management.
Serves as a revenue cycle operations consultant for practices as needed. Consulting may include project based operations management including working with practice operations, RBO and physician leadership to resolve specific practice revenue cycle challenges
May act as interim revenue cycle leadership bench for Network practices based on the project needs
Supports practice operations during practice management system implementation. Will serve as onsite support for practice operations specifically related to operational preparedness during practice management system implementations
Revenue cycle operations based projects may include improving aged AR, reducing bad debt, reducing operating cost, winding down legacy AR during PM system implementations, assessing and recommending solutions for talent and/or leadership gaps, staffing assessments, analyzing revenue cycle performance gaps and suggesting improvement strategies, supporting CBO consolidation initiatives etc.
May need to provide assessment of revenue cycle operations at certain practices and recommend solutions to address gaps and/or potential risk to practice P & L.
Manage conflict resolution among practice and project team members to ensure successful outcomes are achieved
Contemplate timeline, resource requirements, key deliverables and outcomes expectations within each project and communicate the same with the practice and MSH leadership teams.
Formally close out projects with appropriate hand off’ s and transition plan at completion of the project. Ensure practice
Must understand and gain in depth knowledge of the overall practice revenue cycle processes including front office and back office functions. Must understand and educate practices as needed on Network’s revenue cycle blue print standard or other revenue cycle standards developed by The Network
Must understand and gain working knowledge of the revenue cycle systems including practice management systems and other applications supporting revenue cycle processes and practice management systems
Assess process gaps between practice processes and blue print processes so support system design and implementation as needed
Define and report key success/operational revenue cycle metrics prior to, during and after implementation of revenue cycle systems or process
Monitors and communicates the results of process improvement projects/ initiatives to management team and/or the customers
Supports the identification and evaluation of the customer’s risk areas to identify process improvement opportunities related to revenue cycle
Manages change related to the project implementation through use of change management tools as and when necessary
Uses Six Sigma, lean and other process improvement tools to assess, improve and control processes
Exhibits leadership throughout the lifecycle of project implementation and/or practice engagement by meeting customer expectations.
Effectively communicate with customers, key stakeholders and management on all aspects of the project and process improvement efforts etc. or any other communication necessary for successful execution of the project
5 years’ experience in project management or business process.
5 years physician practice revenue cycle processes and operations experience
3 years process improvement or lean six sigma experiences with strong working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and methodologies including DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen, Workout, and DFSS.
Ability to identify problems, provide solution options, influence operational adoption and implementation resulting in strong positive outcomes
Training and change management leadership
Financial acumen - Financial analysis and P&L interpretation skills including ability to calculate cost benefit analysis and ROI, and help identify financial savings, self-motivated, organized and capable of handling multiple responsibilities and projects to successful completion
PC skills: Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio)
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Excellent writing, presentation and influencing skills
Managerial experience a plus
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
Six Sigma Black Belt certification or progress toward achieving certification preferred
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or a related field desirable
Ability to travel up to 70% to customer sites, meetings, conferences.

The preferred location is for the individual to work out of The Woodlands, TX office, however remote may be considered
